Symposium Schedule

The symposium brings together leading experts from around the world for three days of intensive knowledge exchange and collaboration. Most presentations will be in English. Some speakers will present in Spanish. Simultaneous translation into English will be available via Zoom. Join us as we explore groundbreaking research and innovative solutions to some of humanity’s most pressing challenges.

The schedule follows Central European Time. The sessions for in-person attendance and the online sessions are both listed in the schedule.

WORKING METHODS OF THE SYMPOSIUM

The working methods of the symposium are based on the Network´s self-perception as a place where intercultural and interreligious practice, education and academic research, and teaching are interactively linked and mutually enrich each other. Practitioners, artists, activists, trainers and teachers in academic fields are invited to exchange ideas regarding contextual and holistic approaches to people’s well-being. Because the Network promotes interactive exchanges and learning, we seek to include as many opportunities for interaction as possible through break-out groups, reflection groups, paper presentations and workshops.

Keynote Lectures

The lectures will consider the topic of the day from a more academic or professional perspective in order to stimulate discussion. During the symposium, speakers will present their lectures as interactively as possible. The presentations will be interspersed with breakout sessions where we will reflect on the lectures in small groups.

Reflection Groups

Reflection groups are small groups where we have a chance to meet and share on a more personal level. The reflection groups open up spaces for sharing experiences, opinions and ideas in a narrative, biographical way. The focus of these groups is not the academic or professional but rather on expressing oneself and sharing feelings or emotions. Participants will be in the same group during the whole symposium so that the conversation can be deepened.

Workshops and Paper Presentations

Participants can choose from various workshops and paper presentations. These approach the theme of the symposium from a variety of perspectives with presenters from different countries, cultures and faith traditions. Workshops and paper presentations are designed to be hands-on and participatory with moderators accompanying the discussion.

Intercultural Forum

Participants from different faith backgrounds and countries will share their experiences to provide input and inspiration for further exchange.

Meditation

We start our days with a meditation or blessing, which are led by representatives of the various faiths and worldviews that make up our group.
